Climbers' hands bleeding - Websites for climbers and mountain leaders.jpg

If you’re an adventurer, expedition leader, outdoors type or climber thinking about getting a website, read on.

Adventurers and outdoor types have the most incredible experiences, tales to tell and photographs. Let’s say you’re a climber. Do you want to get chalk and blood from your rock-ruined hands all over your keyboard? No. Do you have the technical knowledge to launch a website for yourself? No. But should you? HELL YES. Your friends don’t believe your tall tales now, so why would your grandkids? Capture your adventuresome feats so they’re not lost in the annals of Facebook time.

The beauty of your own site

As an adventurer, you could use your website to share individual stories and image galleries. You could use its blog function to properly track and record your day trips, gruelling weekends and first ascents. It could showcase images and anecdotes from bouldering and deep water solo trips, mad MTB moments, ultratrail antics or whatever it is you get upto.

We know that you’d rather be hacking through virgin jungle or giving a group of kids their first taste of the mountains than sweating blood poring over your own website. Let Website O’Clock do it for you. While you’re at home, squashing things into stuff sacs, dehydrating rations or pulling up on a finger board (with 20kg tied to each toe while Dawn Wall plays on a loop in the background), your website could be designed, populated and put live. Then everyone would have to believe you because it would be right there, on The Internet.

How it works

If you’re a freelance expedition leader, climbing Instructor or Mountain Leader, you might want to embed your existing booking software. You might want to connect your Instagram feed and showcase your qualifications, CV and work history. But let’s say for now that you’re just a keen outdoors person with some cool stories and stonking images to share.

We’d have a chat to discuss things like the below. Then, we’d present you with a plan and a price. Once agreed, we’d get on with things. Never forget a route, group, crag or adventure buddy again.

To think about

  • Is the site for social or professional purposes?

  • Is your site blog driven?

  • Is your site image driven?

  • Do you have existing stories and images to upload?

  • What level (if any) of contact info will you give?

  • Do you have Social accounts like Instagram to link?

  • Will you use this to try to find instructor/ outdoor work?

  • Do you need a project-specific site, i.e. for a new expedition?

That sounds easy

Yup, It is. We’d get all the information from you, including the words and pictures you want to share. We’d then crack on, getting your amazing website live while you’re…lining up for the Banff Film Festival. Or propping up a bar in Kendal. Or deciding between Rab’s latest hydrophobic down bags. You’ll love your site and it’ll look great on your CV or business cards. With our add-on marketing services, we’re here for after-project help or advice.

Just something to think about.
